Here I share Vidspiration, gear and tools I am loving PLUS Online Entrepreneurship powered by Video!
This Video idea is flying .. it caught my imagination and I dived straight in!
It's called TXT Video. link to product
I signed up to test it myself! (Video above. Note: contest closed)
My thinking here .. Act quick .. get some Videos out there! (That's what I am doing!)
So what is TXT Video?
It's a simple way to create fun Text style conversations then export as a Video and publish (or include in other Videos you edit.) It's Cloud based, nothing to download (accept your final Videos!)
I think TXT Video will work great for:
On Wednesday I went to a Facebook event in London called 'Community Boost' and they shared amazing stats about how conversion rates on your site shoot up if folks have first interacted with you on Facebook...
Watch my Video above to discover how to make a super handy Progress Bar for your Instagram or Facebook Videos .. just like Gary Vee!
(Edited with ScreenFlow 8)
NEWSFLASH: My 'ScreenFlow Universe' course is now available on its' own for a low one-time fee!
Grab my new step by step 'ScreenFlow Universe' course. 100% new ScreenFlow 8 training for mac plus case studies.
On a PC not a mac? You can do the same easily.
I recommend using Camtasia.
Before we get onto Drones ..
Did you watch the fight last night?
Did you pay for it? :)
KSI v Logan Paul I am talking about of course.
I am making no judgement here on the two individuals and whether YouTube should have banned Logan Paul after his terrible Japan Video.
BUT .. all I can say it that the Event was quite a phenomenon .. two YouTubers who built 18 million (!) or so subscribers each on the platform .. created a HUGE 'Pre-launch' buzz around a Live event using their Vlog channels and fans .. that crossed over to mainstream News Media and they monetized via Pay Per View on YouTube.
$10 a ticket with an estimated 800,000 people paying to watch the Live stream, 15,000 tickets sold to watch inside the stadium! ... That's a lot of $$$$$$$!
(Apparently another 1.2m watched pirated streams on Twitch and elsewhere)
To me this just embodied (albeit on a huge scale) the Power of building your own audience and interaction via Social Video and then charging for Premium Video!
Chuck (FB Local Video Ads Expert) recently shared this result from his Local Business Page in the Local Video Ad Hero Private group.
>> Free Session << Register Here
Check the stats below ...
Imagine what 22k reach, 646 comments, 136 shares, 13.8k Views can do for your business or your Local clients!
(Hint: Running a Local FB Page in your area is a great way to build authority and win clients)
That's the power of low cost, super targeted FB Video Ads taught in the training.
So recently I had someone join us in Local Video Ad Hero 2.0 ... they explained they were really interested learning the Ads system at launch time but they didn't sign up due to other commitments.
Maybe you were in the same boat!
The timing is not always right ... anyway here's a fresh chance to grab the entire 9 Module course!
Here's the need to know:
So, a quick update from Spain!
I recently signed up to an Email List and the confirm Email I received contained a useful Gif!
You see an issue right now is getting Emails you send to your subscribers out of their Gmail Promotions tab and into the Primary tab where they are more likely to be read.
Even if you are sending Newsy Emails full of goodness and low on promotion - you can still end up under Promos for many different reasons.
So here is my own GIF showing you what to do .. if my Email landed in your Promo folder, please (if you wish) drag it from your Promo to your Primary Folder then click YES to future Emails.
Using the app? Press down on Email to select it .. then .. top right corner ... move to ..
That way you won't miss my mails! You can always drag it back if you want.
You see GIF's do have a use other than just fun memes, and the fact they can be compressed small and added inside Emails is like having a mini-Video inside your message.
You can easily create a GIF like...
So .. Vacation season is GO!
I will be heading to the Island of Mallorca, Spain - how about you?
Now you may think vacations are only for spending quality time with your friends and family & sipping your favorite beverage by the beach ..
But .. they are also handy for shooting at least ONE useful Video for your Business!
You see on vacation you usually have access to better locations, better shooting conditions and fresh inspiration.
So seize the chance, and the cool thing is ... you don't need to carry cumbersome cameras .. your iPhone / Smartphone will do nicely!
Make it feel personal and like a Vacation Video.
But how to link your Business niche with your Vacation?
Here's some examples (I came up with quickly) for Videos that Business folks could make ..
The Driving instructor
Why you should learn to Drive a Manual (stick shift) car?
You are outside the Car Hire shop on vacation and explain that they only stock 10% Automatic cars, all are usually booked well in advance but...
So time for a catch up ..
At the recent VidCon event, YouTube made some announcements .. I'll keep it brief:
1. Premieres - A landing page you can build in anticipation of a new Video release, then watch the video with your audience (the Premiere can be monetized via Superchat donations)
Is it useful? Is it mainly for Premieres of Music Videos, Film trailers or for famous Influencers? Good questions.
Maybe .. but how about using it for a peak at your new course or upcoming event or new behind the scenes of your business Video series? We'll wait and see.
Since the Video showcased is edited and polished .. there is none of the pressure of Live. You can focus on the interaction.
2. Channel memberships (100k subs required) - Eligible Creators can offer paid for ($4.99/mo) subscriptions right inside of YouTube for their tribe to access exclusive content, like posts, live streams, videos and emojis.
This comes hot on the heels of Facebook enabling select FB Groups to...
Can you Shoot quality Green Screen on a Smartphone? .. The answer is YES you can!
I have just added a New super focussed mini-course inside the NEW Video Hero Membership!
It's all about how to Shoot and Edit Green Screen.
I used my iPhone and ScreenFlow .. but you could adapt this training to your own tools ..
I only filmed in a small room at home (no studio required) ..
But using Video Hero hacks I got a result like this ..
Green Screen is real handy to ..
.. switch out backgrounds to keep your Videos moving and reset your viewers attention (like TV shows do)
.. saves you having to own lots of large background rolls and fabrics
.. no need to own a HUGE house or office space, you can be in a studio flat and look like you own a mansion :)
.. get that DSLR pro-style blurred background look on an iPhone without buying a new camera!
You can make your Videos look PRO on a budget, even make your self tiny to allow space for text and screencasts ...
You can also layer Green Screen...
Let me cut to the chase ..
Much as I like to geek out on a good piece of Video gear .. what annoys me is Gear Obsession, and roaming from one Gear review video to the next wondering if you should even bother with making a Video unless you have exactly the right gear :(
Those Gear reviewers do an awesome job with getting their own Videos Ranked via keywords and earning revenue from Ads and affiliate links.
Of course, in moderation, when you are after a specific bit of gear, seeing it in action and hearing a reviewers opinion is certainly useful.
But if you overdose on reviews you end up constantly spending money not earning it (they do!)
>> Earn from Video << Full training for Members inside!
What I like way more is using the gear you already own to create an Asset that can pay for lots more gear, and in fact pay for your house and vacation!
So, the Best Video Accessory (and excuse the verbal twist here) is having your own Online...
I hope you had a great week ...
Here's a catch up ..
There are a few Internet Marketers who share their income reports, but to see how it breaks down for these Video Creators is useful.
They have 220k YouTube subscribers which is big - but not that big!
In short .. (I'll mention just 3 of the Income streams)
First quarter (Jan - Mar) 2018
YouTube Ad revenue $14,184
Patreon & Paypal $6,501
Travel Hacker Online Course $8,675
You can check the rest and also the expenses yourself .. but I think you will be inspired by their multiple sources of income, lessening the risk.
Yes, the Ad revenue is impressive - but I think having an Online Course with an email list of buyers (they promote as an affiliate too) is great insurance against any sudden changes with YouTube that could crush Ads revenue and dent their income!
Hint: that's one reason why I teach my folks to...
